Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy a SIM card to use all the features of the Kid Watch?

The Kid Watch is delivered without a SIM card as standard. To use the full functionality, including EU-wide calls and GPS tracking, you can specify a SIM card in the text when ordering for a one-off price of €9,90. This is recommended to ensure an optimal user experience. Alternatively, you can of course also buy your own SIM card and insert it into the device.

Yes, the Kid Watch offers geofencing, which alerts when your child leaves a pre-determined area, as well as an SOS button for emergencies. In addition, the push-out watch case also supports use in school environments, where smartphones and smartwatches are often not allowed.

The Kid Watch supports two-way communication through voice calls and interactive chat, allowing a constant connection between you and your child. The watch can be configured via its own app, which also includes school mode to minimize disruption during lessons.

The Kid Watch is equipped with GPS tracking, an SOS emergency button and geofencing alarms to ensure your child's safety in any situation.

The app developed specifically for the Kid Watch allows parents to configure the watch in detail and make settings. School Mode is a special feature within the app that allows the watch to be restricted to essential functions such as geofencing, tracking and telephony during school hours. This helps to minimize distractions while still allowing the child to be contacted in emergencies and ensuring their safety.

The Kid Watch is specially designed for active children and offers a battery life of up to 3 days, even with intensive use of the GPS and communication functions.

The Kid Watch uses a combination of GPS, AGPS, LBS and WiFi to enable precise and fast tracking, providing constant security and monitoring.

Yes, the Kid Watch is IP68 certified waterproof and can be used up to a depth of 30 meters, ideal for swimming and other water activities.

Currently, the Kid Watch supports English and a few other European languages, but an upcoming update from Alarmbands will also add the German language to make it easier for German-speaking users.
